The Board of Governors unanimously adopted the 867 Constitution on August 21, 2019, as the official governing document of the 867 Foundation. The document was framed from the U.S. Constitution. "We felt the U.S. Constitution was a document we could rely on for good guidance to create our governance," said Andrew Abernathy, Chairman of the Governing Board. "Just like the U.S. Constitution, there is a tricameral organization structure with Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of governance. Of these, the Judicial was the most difficult to work through." Chairman Abernathy said. "We wanted to create a streamlined dispute resolution method that did not solely rely on the U.S. and state courts to settle disputes between our Adopters and Members of the 867 Framework. We hope we have created a new standard for business practice that moves the industry of intangible assets forward." |
